Barbara and Simon have owned Hele
Billy’s Bar & Restaurant for the last three years. In
that time many changes and improvements have been made
to the building and business, to make it into the
friendly, atmospheric bar it is today.
Situated only one mile from Ilfracombe Harbour, fresh
fish features heavily on our menu. Our main menu offers
more traditional ‘Pub Dishes’ whereas the ever changing
specials board offers more imaginative and exciting
meals. If fish is not your flavour we also have a wide
range of meat and vegetarian options to choose from.
We have an extensive range of wines and beers. We have
two Real Ales on the pumps at all times. Tribute, from
St Austell, is our regular house ale and we change our
Guest ale two to three times a week. We also hold our
own Beer Festival Weekend once a year featuring 12 of
the best local brews available.
With such a variety you are sure to find something to
suit all tastes.
We are keen to support local businesses and use local
suppliers for all of our ingredients, as far as
possible.
We offer breakfast, light lunches, evening meals, Sunday
roasts and we take party bookings for up to 25 people.
When the smoking ban was coming into force we decided to
utilise the patio area and erect a large parasol with
electric heaters and lights to provide a sheltered
smoking area and doubling up as an alfresco dining area
(when the Hele winds die down)!!!
In the winter we support two teams: Men’s skittles,
which play on Tuesday evenings, and Pool, which plays on
Sunday evenings.
Whatever you decide to eat or drink you can be
guaranteed a friendly smile and home made food.
